Professor Jeffrey Sachs is a world-renowned economics professor, senior UN advisor, bestselling author, and one of the world’s leading experts on sustainable economic development and the fight against poverty. In his academic roles at Columbia University, Professor Sachs serves as Director of The Earth Institute, Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management. In his roles with the United Nations, Professor Sachs is also Director of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General on the Millennium Development Goals.
